The tension between the Chegancas FC and the Telheiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Basílio Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Carlos Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Pinho hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Bento Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Chegancas FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bento Martins hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Bento Martins fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. 1-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Carlos Rodrigues elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Carlos Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Lisboa having to interfere. João Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Oliveira Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Pinho in the 41st minute of play forced Telheiros's goalkeeper Fernando Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Óscar Dias was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Dias in the 54th minute of play forced Telheiros's goalkeeper Fernando Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Telheiros's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucas Nunes was slow to take the kick. During this time Chegancas FC's players had a chance to rest. Bento Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bento Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Dantas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Oliveira Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Rodrigues in the 74th minute of play. Joel Vaz hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the match Fernando Alves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Dantas skillfully saved the ball. If Óscar Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Bento Martins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chegancas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Bento Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Dias might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Dantas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Óscar Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. Bento Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 played minutes Telheiros got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Moniz. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Chegancas FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
