Eduardo Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedra FC's Viriato Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Setúbal in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Pedra FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Júlio Ribeiro hit a great ball. Mário Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Viriato Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turquel FC. Viriato Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Setúbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Vicente Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Mário Oliveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Viriato Moreira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mário Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pedra FC booed when Turquel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mário Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Turquel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Oliveira couldn't finish the play. If Mariano Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 played minutes Turquel FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Viegas. If Mariano Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Paulo Moura made the kick off in the second half. Sérgio Coimbra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute Paulo Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedra FC's Eduardo Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mário Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mário Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Viriato Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turquel FC. Mário Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Viriato Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Paulo Moura in the 93rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Paulo Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Oliveira having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pedra FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Turquel FC.
