Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rui Gueifão kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Sebastião Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Pacheco made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Pedro Leiria sent off a good shot on target. When Pedro Leiria came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the SC Cavaleiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Leiria couldn't finish the play. In the 13th match minute, SC Mesquita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Matias to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Pacheco was a little too slow when Sebastião Tavares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cláudio Esteves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusébio Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Cláudio Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th match minute, SC Cavaleiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Amorim to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, SC Mesquita's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Tavares came free, but Alexandre Pacheco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Pacheco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rui Ribeiro.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastião Tavares to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, SC Cavaleiro's Pedro Leiria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Pacheco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Tavares in the 60th minute of play forced SC Mesquita's goalkeeper Alexandre Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Mesquita's Gabriel Matias suffered a concussion in the 62nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 62 minutes, Carlos Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cavaleiro and the SC Mesquita players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Cavaleiro's Carlos Amorim got a free kick in the 63rd minute. SC Mesquita's Xavier Porto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Cavaleiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Leiria in the 68th minute of play forced SC Mesquita's goalkeeper Alexandre Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute Sebastião Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, SC Cavaleiro's Pedro Leiria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Pacheco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Alexandre Pacheco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Luz in the 76th minute of play. Eusébio Vieira made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Cláudio Esteves sent off a good shot on target. Cláudio Esteves struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Eusébio Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mesquita. The supporters of SC Cavaleiro booed when SC Mesquita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, SC Cavaleiro's Júlio Almeida broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. SC Cavaleiro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
