If Miguel Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuel Viegas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Martins having to make a save. Nuno Aleixo charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Aleixo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nuno Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Manuel Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Manuel Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Garcia in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Heitor Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magueijinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heitor Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Garcia in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Martins saved Magueijinha from getting behind. SC Algeraz's Manuel Bessa got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Nunes made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Gustavo Maia sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Miguel Nunes managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Magueijinha's Gustavo Maia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Miguel Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. José Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Algeraz's goalkeeper Miguel Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Bessa was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Heitor Esteves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Gustavo Maia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magueijinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heitor Esteves in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Gustavo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ricardo Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Magueijinha's protests and gave Ricardo Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Algeraz booed when Magueijinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Bessa in the 79th minute of play forced Magueijinha's goalkeeper José Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Domingos Figueiredo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. SC Algeraz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gonçalo Dias in the 88th minute. Miguel Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Maia in the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Manuel Bessa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Magueijinha's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
