In the 24th match minute, Constantina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute of the match Paulo Rodrigues shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingos Macedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Constantina getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alfredo Fonseca hit a great ball. If Joaquim Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Resendes short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Carlos Moura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Domingos Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Domingos Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Neves in the 45th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Carlos Moura successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alfredo Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Rui Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Pontido's Carlos Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Fonseca in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Pontido. Paulo Rodrigues stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Domingos Macedo. 1-1. Rafael Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Carlos Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Macedo made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Diogo Neves sent off a good shot on target. If Diogo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Eusébio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Constantina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontido the free kick. After 71 played minutes Constantina got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Costa. Domingos Macedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo Neves in the 74th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Alfredo Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontido's Carlos Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Pontido getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Álvaro Coelho hit a great ball. In the 81st match minute, Pontido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Domingos Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Coelho in the 87th minute of play. Constantina's Joel Lisboa got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Joel Lisboa off the ground. After a rather tough play, Constantina's Joel Lisboa got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 100th minute of the match, Joaquim Pereira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Domingos Macedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
