Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joaquim Pereira kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute of the match Adolfo Moura shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Moura showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Jorge Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pontido's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abela FC the free kick. In the 13th minute, Jorge Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Afonso Viana came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Abela FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Viana couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute Afonso Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-1 became the score in the 18th minute when Afonso Viana elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pontido's zone, Domingos Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Moura came out of the goal and Domingos Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Afonso Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Alves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joaquim Pereira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Neves got free with Eduardo Alves in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Joaquim Pereira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Alves was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Eduardo Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Diogo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Alves having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Viana to make the kick off. When Domingos Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Abela FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Viana in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Moura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute Afonso Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abela FC's Eduardo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Pereira in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Joaquim Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abela FC's Eduardo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Neves in the 74th minute of play. Eduardo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Neves in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Afonso Viana fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carlos Moura, passed just outside the right post. Joaquim Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Diogo Neves scored 3-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingos Guerreiro got free with Carlos Moura in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Afonso Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abela FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
