After a rather tough play, SC Mangona's Amílcar Amaral got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Manuel Castro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Lima showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Oliveira Costa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 11 played minutes SC Mangona got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Amaral. In the 16th match minute, SC Mangona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Alves to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Queirós during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Douro FC's Miguel Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Leiria in the 23rd minute of play. Miguel Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Amílcar Amaral hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gil Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Gil Dantas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Paulo Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquim Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Setúbal having to interfere. Miguel Setúbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Leiria in the 43rd minute of the match. André Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Douro FC's Miguel Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Matos in the 45th minute of play. Oliveira Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Joaquim Leiria made the kick off in the second half. In the 57thth minute of the game Joaquim Leiria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Douro FC's Miguel Setúbal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gil Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Lima having to interfere. After 70 played minutes SC Mangona got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Alves. 72 minutes into the match, Joaquim Leiria notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Douro FC's Miguel Setúbal. Miguel Setúbal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oliveira Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 83 minutes into the match, SC Mangona's goal looked a bit too open when Oliveira Costa came free, but Paulo Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86thth minute of the game Joaquim Leiria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Douro FC's Miguel Setúbal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Gil Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Dantas in the 94th minute of play forced SC Mangona's goalkeeper Paulo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 minutes, Pedro Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mangona and the Douro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Mangona's Pedro Alves got a free kick in the 94th minute. If Gil Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
