Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Afonso Macedo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Artur Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Mariano Assunção charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Assunção the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mariano Assunção hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. With a little luck, SC Varis's Alfredo Brás got control of the ball when Miguel Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Alfredo Brás made a huge save. Mariano Assunção kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Henrique Sá struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Artur Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Varis. Lourenço Resende charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lourenço Resende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes SC Varis got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Resende. Tiago Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Cláudio Correia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rechaldeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Varis the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rechaldeira's Cláudio Correia got a free kick in the 38th minute. Alfredo Brás made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Cunha in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Tiago Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Brás was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. If Henrique Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Carneiro to make the kick off. Alfredo Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Carneiro in the 51st minute of the match. Tiago Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Brás having to interfere. With a little luck, Rechaldeira's Artur Delgado got control of the ball when Henrique Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artur Delgado made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Henrique Sá sent off a good shot on target. Henrique Sá struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rechaldeira's zone, Henrique Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Delgado came out of the goal and Henrique Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Artur Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Varis booed when Rechaldeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Henrique Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Varis's Henrique Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rechaldeira's Miguel Cunha in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Varis's goalie prevented a goal. After 81 minutes, Afonso Delgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Varis and the Rechaldeira players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rechaldeira getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Tiago Carneiro hit a great ball. When Fábio Castro came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SC Varis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Castro couldn't finish the play.
