Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Catarino Antunes made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Catarino Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastião Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Emanuel Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sopegal's Luís Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastião Faria's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Emanuel Aguiar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rui Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Porto in the 20th minute of play forced Alvendre's goalkeeper Rui Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Aguiar having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Catarino Antunes in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Sopegal's zone, Sebastião Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Aguiar came out of the goal and Sebastião Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Alvendre booed when Sopegal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Antunes in the 40th minute of the match. Catarino Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Emanuel Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Catarino Antunes in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Aguiar saved Sopegal from getting behind.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Dantas to strike the kick off in the second half. Rui Cabral made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Luís Porto sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Antunes in the 58th minute of play. Viriato Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Rui Cabral made a huge save. Rogério Baptista's late challenge caught a Sopegal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rogério Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Alvendre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Rui Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adelino Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Gaspar Pinto, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 71st minute, Catarino Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catarino Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sopegal's Emanuel Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Antunes in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute Viriato Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes Alvendre got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Silva. Viriato Dantas struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Rui Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sopegal. The Alvendre supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sopegal's performance. The match ended with a win for Sopegal.
