Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manuel Pereira got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Sabadim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the match, Sabadim's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Coelho came free, but Ricardo Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Afonso Gueifão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Baptista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Manuel Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Barros having to interfere. If Manuel Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Filipe Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 21st minute, Manuel Pereira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sabadim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Manuel Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sabadim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Pereira couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the game, Sabadim's Manuel Pereira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. António Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Ricardo Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Maia lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a defensive mix-up in Castanheiro FC's zone, Inácio Ferro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Barros came out of the goal and Inácio Ferro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Pereira in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Castanheiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Pires to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Castanheiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Pereira came free, but António Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Afonso Gueifão made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. António Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 57th minute, but António Barros got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Castanheiro FC hanging dry this time. 60 minutes into the match, Castanheiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Pereira came free, but António Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes Castanheiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Gueifão. Afonso Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ricardo Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Afonso Gueifão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Baptista was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, Castanheiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Pereira came free, but António Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Gueifão in the 76th minute of the match. Inácio Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sabadim's Ricardo Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Gueifão in the 85th minute of play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sabadim would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
