Jacinto Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Rui Anjos made a huge save. Emanuel Brás hit a great ball. SC Vellas's Jacinto Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If José Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Oliveira Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Amílcar Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Anjos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When André Porto fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Picao's protests and gave André Porto a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes SC Picao got a freekick which was hit by André Porto. After a defensive mix-up in SC Picao's zone, Amílcar Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Anjos came out of the goal and Amílcar Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Picao's Rui Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Tavares in the 89th minute of play. Rui Anjos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Maia in the 92nd minute of the match. Jacinto Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Picao played a much better game than SC Vellas and deserved their victory. The SC Vellas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
