After a defensive mix-up in SC Bairrada's zone, Amílcar Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Morais came out of the goal and Amílcar Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílcar Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Morais having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílcar Garcia in the 52nd minute of play forced SC Bairrada's goalkeeper Lourenço Morais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Assunção got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 58th match minute, SC Bairrada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Assunção to maneuver through the defense. Sebastião Vale's late challenge caught a SC Bairrada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Vale helped the player get up and apologised. Crujeira FC's Amílcar Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amílcar Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Crujeira FC's Amílcar Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lourenço Morais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lourenço Morais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 96thth minute of the game Amílcar Garcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Bairrada's Lourenço Morais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Crujeira FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
