Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristiano Santos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jorge Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Moura having to interfere. The supporters of Maroufenha FC booed when SC Funchosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando Antunes took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diogo Paredes. Diogo Paredes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to SC Funchosa getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Vítor Aleixo hit a great ball. Américo Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Fernandes in the 18th minute of play. With his leg Américo Moura managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when SC Funchosa's Jorge Reis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jorge Reiss short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Américo Moura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 30 minutes into the match, Maroufenha FC's Armando Antunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diogo Paredes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Diamantino Fernandes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Américo Moura. That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. In the 38th minute Cristiano Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, SC Funchosa's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Santos came free, but Diogo Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Cristiano Santos notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SC Funchosa's Diogo Paredes. Diogo Paredes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Maroufenha FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Reis in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Américo Moura saved Maroufenha FC from getting behind. In the 65th minute Diamantino Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diogo Paredes was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Armando Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Reis in the 75th minute of play. Cristiano Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Paredes having to interfere. Jorge Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Maroufenha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Fernandes came free, but Américo Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Santos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Maroufenha FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
