Rui Amaral, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Daniel Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Maia having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Viriato Nunes in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Viriato Pinho took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Maia. António Maia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Daniel Dias came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Negrais FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Dias couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Viriato Pinho notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Boco's António Maia. António Maia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Nunes in the 29th minute of play forced Negrais FC's goalkeeper Delfim Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Rui Amaral sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Negrais FC's Delfim Cruz didn't even have to move. Boco's António Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Dias in the 36th minute of play. With his leg Delfim Cruz managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Boco's António Gueifão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 43rd minute, Inácio Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delfim Cruz made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when António Gueifão sent off a good shot on target. 48 minutes into the match, Negrais FC's goalkeeper Delfim Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by António Gueifão.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Pinho made a kick off. Nuno Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viriato Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Maia having to interfere. Negrais FC's Viriato Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Viriato Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Negrais FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Viriato Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viriato Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Boco's Viriato Nunes in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Negrais FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Negrais FC's Nuno Vieira got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 69 minutes, Lourenço Amaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Negrais FC and the Boco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes Negrais FC got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Amaro. Rui Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delfim Cruz. Negrais FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Negrais FC's Delfim Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Nunes in the 76th minute of play. António Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Viriato Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Negrais FC's Nuno Vieira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind António Maia. António Maia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Gueifão in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Cruz saved Negrais FC from getting behind. 97 minutes into the match, Negrais FC's goal looked a bit too open when António Gueifão came free, but Delfim Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
