Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Viriato Nunes started the match with the kick off. Filipe Tavares charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filipe Tavares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Filipe Tavares hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Artur Moniz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Maia having to make a save. After 5 minutes of play, Encourados's Fábio Anjos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. António Maia was left in no man's land by his defense there! António Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Leão having to interfere. Nuno Gomes's late challenge caught a Boco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Nuno Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by António Gueifão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 24th minute Artur Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Boco's zone, Fábio Anjos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Maia came out of the goal and Fábio Anjos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 29th minute of the match Filipe Tavares completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Filipe Tavares a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Filipe Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Hélder Nogueira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Artur Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Boco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Maia should have stopped the shot.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fábio Anjos to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Boco got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Barros. Encourados's Artur Moniz got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. António Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Maia having to interfere. Carlos Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Gueifão in the 58th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Artur Moniz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. António Maia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Boco's António Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Anjos in the 74th minute of play. Vítor Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Encourados's zone, António Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Leão came out of the goal and António Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Leão having to interfere. If António Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boco's António Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Artur Moniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Encourados eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
