Carlos Leite's shot from long distance in the 29th minute was not bad at all, but SC Lancao's Paulo Dantas knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Manuel Oliveira hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Sandro Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Branco in the 34th minute of play. Manuel Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Paulo Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Assunção's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lancao's zone, Luís Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Dantas came out of the goal and Luís Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 played minutes SC Lancao got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Oliveira.

If Henrique Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Branco got free with Sandro Neves in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 57 played minutes SC Oucidres got a freekick which was hit by Rui Setúbal. The audience was convinced that Afonso Assunção's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Dantas was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Rui Setúbal hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, SC Oucidres's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Pacheco came free, but Sandro Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, SC Lancao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Vale to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Afonso Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Oucidres's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Assunção was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th match minute, SC Oucidres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Pinto to maneuver through the defense. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
