Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Matos in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Esteves saved Barbens from getting behind. In the 8th minute, Nuno Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casalao's Marco Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Torres in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th play minute Nuno Simões came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marco Anjos. 1-0. In the 15th minute, Sérgio Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Barbens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Simões to maneuver through the defense. Rui Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Sérgio Veiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Esteves. Barbens's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sérgio Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Nuno Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Anjos having to interfere. When Barbens's Cristiano Torres in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Casalao's goalie prevented a goal. Nuno Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Casalao getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Américo Azevedo hit a great ball. Cristiano Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sérgio Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Torres to make the kick off. If Nuno Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Esteves made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when José Matos sent off a good shot on target. After 64 played minutes Casalao got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Ferreira. 71 minutes into the match, Barbens's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Veiga came free, but Rui Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Barbens's Cristiano Torres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Anjos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. José Matos struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Rui Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casalao. Sérgio Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rui Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Cristiano Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Anjos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Simões in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Marco Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Cristiano Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves José Matos could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Rui Esteves however easily saved by the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Barbens fans cheered their team off the field, for while Casalao had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
