Sandro Gueifão struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Manuel Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valagotes FC. Milhoes's Hélder Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Sandro Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Sandro Gueifão sent off a good shot on target. Sandro Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Milhoes's Hélder Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cristiano Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Milhoes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Amaral couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, Hélder Pedroso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jorge Torres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Milhoes getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Eusébio Guarda hit a great ball. Manuel Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Gustavo Leiria sent off a good shot on target. Sandro Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Aleixo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Milhoes defense, Júlio Jesus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Ribeiro. The Milhoes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Ribeiro should have stopped the shot. If Gustavo Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Gueifão in the 63rd minute of play forced Milhoes's goalkeeper Manuel Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes of play, Valagotes FC's Sandro Gueifão made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Ribeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Gustavo Leiria came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Valagotes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Leiria couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Leiria struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Alberto Aleixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandro Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Ribeiro having to interfere.
