Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eusébio Ribeiro started the match with the kick off. If Miguel Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílcar Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Faria in the 7th minute of the match. Miguel Lima struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Manuel Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redonda. In the 14thth minute of the game Alberto Aleixo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Redonda's Amílcar Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Miguel Lima sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Milhoes's Artur Dias got a free kick in the 16th minute. Miguel Lima's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Manuel Ribeiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Amílcar Gonçalves came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Milhoes's Alberto Aleixo. But to his dismay, Alberto Aleixo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 25th minute Alberto Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílcar Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Hélder Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Gonçalves having to interfere. When Milhoes's Hélder Pedroso in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Redonda's goalie prevented a goal. Hélder Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Amílcar Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milhoes. 41 minutes into the match, Alberto Aleixo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Redonda's Amílcar Gonçalves. Amílcar Gonçalves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 45 minutes into the match, Redonda's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Pedroso came free, but Amílcar Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Milhoes were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Aleixo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hélder Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Redonda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Gomes couldn't finish the play. Milhoes's Manuel Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Lima in the 60th minute of play. Hélder Pedroso might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amílcar Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Pedroso ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Milhoes's Eusébio Guarda got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 66th match minute, Redonda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. If Hélder Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Redonda booed when Milhoes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Redonda's Eusébio Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Eusébio Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redonda's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Milhoes's Manuel Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Ribeiro in the 86th minute of play. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Redonda's goalkeeper Amílcar Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Milhoes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
