In the 20thth minute of the game Jorge Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esmojais FC's Cândido Garcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 minutes of play, SC Cambedo's Cândido Veiga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cândido Garcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cândido Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Azevedo in the 33rd minute of play. If Cândido Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Esmojais FC's Gil Amaro got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Alves during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Esmojais FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Cambedo's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Cambedo.
