Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cimbres's Afonso Bessa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Manuel Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 3 played minutes Cimbres got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Freitas. Rui Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Luís Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rui Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Araújo's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The supporters of Carrascais booed when Cimbres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes, Manuel Moniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cimbres and the Carrascais players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Cimbres got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Moniz. In the 17th minute of the match Mariano Reis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Machado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manuel Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Manuel Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Araújo in the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Rui Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrascais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Cimbres's Manuel Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Araújo in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Luís Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrascais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Araújo in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albertino Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaspar Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Bessa's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Rui Araújo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 62 played minutes Carrascais got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Reis. In the 63rd minute of the match Jaime Viana shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaspar Domingues showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gaspar Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Bessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cimbres's Albertino Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 77 minutes of play, Cimbres's Afonso Bessa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaspar Domingues was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manuel Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carlos Brito was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. After 88 played minutes Cimbres got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Brito. Luís Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Machado having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, João Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrascais's supporters rose to their feet, but João Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cimbres had won after a very even match.
