Miguel Esteves came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Abreiro's Lucas Valente. Jaime Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Castro in the 21st minute of the match. Alberto Campos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Jaime Reis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rui Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Alberto Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vítor Paredes hit a great ball. If Alberto Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Pacheco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jaime Reis made a huge save. In the 47th match minute, SC Abreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Santarém to make the kick off. Jaime Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Pintainhos's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Santarém came free, but Miguel Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Campos in the 66th minute of play. After 73 minutes, Rafael Campos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Abreiro and the Pintainhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Abreiro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! 74 minutes into the game, Adolfo Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jaime Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pintainhos's Miguel Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Paredes in the 78th minute of play. Jaime Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Castro in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to SC Abreiro getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jorge Dias hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Castro in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Reis saved SC Abreiro from getting behind. Jaime Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Castro in the 88th minute of the match. When Pintainhos's Rui Castro in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Abreiro's goalie prevented a goal. When Vítor Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Abreiro's protests and gave Vítor Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. Pintainhos's Rui Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pintainhos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
