Amílcar Resende didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Catarino Moura went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Miguel Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Porto was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Cimbres FC's goalkeeper Amílcar Resende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Catarino Moura. Artur Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, SC Aldriz's André Lisboa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Lourenço Coelho's late challenge caught a Cimbres FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lourenço Coelho helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes SC Aldriz got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Coelho. Miguel Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílcar Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Barbosa in the 42nd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Miguel Nogueira made the kick off in the second half. Duarte Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Resende having to interfere. Catarino Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Barbosa in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amílcar Resende saved Cimbres FC from getting behind. SC Aldriz's Catarino Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65thth minute of the game Catarino Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cimbres FC's Amílcar Resende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Cimbres FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Bruno Pires hit a great ball. If Jorge Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Porto having to interfere. In the 75th play minute Miguel Nogueira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rui Porto. 1-1. João Leite's late challenge caught a SC Aldriz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Leite helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Cimbres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Leite to maneuver through the defense. If Catarino Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Barbosa hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Jorge Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catarino Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
