To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Rafael Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Argamassa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sevivas FC the free kick. After 32 played minutes Argamassa got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Fontes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Mendes in the 33rd minute of play forced Argamassa's goalkeeper Marco Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Marco Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sevivas FC's Cristiano Valente got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Correia in the 47th minute of play.
