Paulo Lisboa came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mariano Fontes could save by the left post. Mário Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SC Pigeiros's Mariano Fontes got control of the ball when Paulo Lisboa tried to sneak it across the goal line. António Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mário Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Coelho having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Rafael Sá made a precise shot to the right of Mário Coelho. Prova FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Castro to make the kick off. SC Pigeiros's António Dantas pulled a muscle in his leg after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Carlos Pinto charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Pinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Prova FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Pinto. After having played for 66 minutes, Paulo Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pigeiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Joaquim Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Prova FC's Joaquim Castro got a free kick in the 80th minute.
