Emílio Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Rafael Sá notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cascalheira FC's Emílio Faria. Emílio Faria was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the match, Cascalheira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Sá came free, but Emílio Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Pigeiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cascalheira FC's Emílio Faria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Cascalheira FC from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cascalheira FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Ferreira was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Pigeiros's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to SC Pigeiros's António Dantas getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 84 played minutes SC Pigeiros got a freekick which was hit by António Dantas. Cristiano Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Mariano Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Sá in the 94th minute of play forced Cascalheira FC's goalkeeper Emílio Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Pigeiros eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
