When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Paredes was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abel Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Paredes in the 61st minute of the match. Afonso Pinto came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Vaqueiros's Joaquim Matias. But to his dismay, Joaquim Matias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 70 minutes into the game, Fernando Moutinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Afonso Pinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 79 minutes, Carlos Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alderete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Alderete's zone, Fernando Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Pinto came out of the goal and Fernando Moutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Matias might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Matias ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Abel Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
