All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrique Paredes to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Filipe Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee ignored Tostao's protests and gave Armando Branco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castelo FC's goalkeeper Rogério Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Tostao's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Paredes came free, but Diogo Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tostao had won after a very even match.
