Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henrique Paredes started the match with the kick off. Basílio Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th minute Basílio Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Rogério Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 19 minutes of play, Castelo FC's Filipe Pacheco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Basílio Pinto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rogério Monteiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Basílio Pinto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. Filipe Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rogério Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Luís Rocha sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Pinto in the 46th minute of play forced Castelo FC's goalkeeper Rogério Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basílio Pinto to make the kick off. Filipe Pacheco charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filipe Pacheco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 64 minutes into the game, Filipe Pacheco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Correia. Filipe Pacheco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. João Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Correia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filipe Pacheco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 70 minute of play. Luís Rocha struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Rogério Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mouronho. João Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Filipe Pacheco might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Pacheco ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, SC Mouronho's Jaime Dias got a free kick in the 85th minute. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Henrique Paredes took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for João Correia to make any attempt to save it. After 93 minutes, Luís Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mouronho and the Castelo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The goalkeeper, João Correia, was totally fooled by Castelo FC's Adolfo Branco, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Castelo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Castelo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
