After 4 played minutes, SC Acafora's Diamantino Henriques shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Acafora reached it. In the 18thth minute of the game Gil Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Acafora's Raul Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 25 played minutes, SC Acafora's Adolfo Cunha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Acafora reached it. A hard shot by Ricardo Anjos from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Raul Pinheiro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience was convinced that Domingos Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Lima was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. A collision led to SC Benfeita getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Lúcio Reis hit a great ball. In the 37th minute of the match Diamantino Henriques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Lima showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Domingos Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Xavier Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Cristiano Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gil Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. David Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Benfeita's Ricardo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Machado in the 59th minute of play. Domingos Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ricardo Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Machado in the 65th minute of play forced SC Benfeita's goalkeeper Ricardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, SC Acafora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Moura to maneuver through the defense. If Gil Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If David Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Raul Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Acafora had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
