Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Brejoal FC's Jaime Antunes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brejoal FC's Tiago Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Figueiredo in the 4th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Brejoal FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Figueiredo came free, but Tiago Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Barbosa in the 12th minute of play. If Nuno Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the game, Nuno Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ricardo Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Brejoal FC's Nuno Moreira got a free kick in the 26th minute. António Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Cristiano Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, SC Benfeita's goalkeeper Ricardo Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Moreira. Cristiano Leal's late challenge caught a Brejoal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Leal helped the player get up and apologised. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Gil Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Brejoal FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Carlos Costa hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Leal got free with Tiago Machado in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Nuno Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ricardo Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Jaime Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to SC Benfeita getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lúcio Reis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Moreira in the 66th minute of play forced SC Benfeita's goalkeeper Ricardo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Benfeita getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Lúcio Reis hit a great ball. Nuno Moreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Lima having to make a save. Gil Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gil Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Jaime Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Benfeita's Ricardo Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Brejoal FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Manuel Neves hit a great ball. Tiago Machado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cristiano Leal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viriato Gaspar during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Brejoal FC booed when SC Benfeita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Lima came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Brejoal FC's Jaime Antunes. But to his dismay, Jaime Antunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Brejoal FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Benfeita had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
