Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Esteves made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 2nd match minute, Grandais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Jorge Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galvana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Resende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Tavares came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Grandais's Ricardo Matos. But to his dismay, Ricardo Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Carlos Aleixo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Cristiano Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Esteves in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Resende in the 18th minute of play forced Grandais's goalkeeper Carlos Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Álvaro Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Resende to make the kick off. Carlos Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Aleixo during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Galvana booed when Grandais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Aleixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carlos Aleixo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. After 63 played minutes Grandais got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Aleixo. Ricardo Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Matos in the 70th minute of play forced Galvana's goalkeeper Cristiano Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Galvana's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Matos came free, but Cristiano Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ricardo Matos came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Grandais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Matos couldn't finish the play. If Ricardo Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grandais's Carlos Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Grandais from getting a goal against them. Álvaro Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Carlos Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Cristiano Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Álvaro Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Carlos Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
