After a defensive mix-up in Carvela's zone, Afonso Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Viana came out of the goal and Afonso Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Mota in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Viana saved Carvela from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Paulo Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aricera FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Pinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 19 played minutes, Aricera FC's Vasco Alves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Viana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aricera FC reached it. Delfim Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Nunes having to interfere. Delfim Brás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but André Nunes made a huge save. The supporters of Aricera FC booed when Carvela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes, Bento Delgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carvela and the Aricera FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Aricera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the game, Afonso Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aricera FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carvela the free kick. After 70 played minutes Aricera FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Vale. In the 71st minute, Augusto Queirós sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Aricera FC's André Nunes didn't even have to move. Delfim Brás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79th minute, Nuno Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Nunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rodrigo Vieira hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Diogo Guerreiro made a precise shot to the right of André Nunes. Aricera FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A collision led to Aricera FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Eusébio Pinho hit a great ball. Afonso Vale hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Delfim Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. André Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
