Tomás Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Carvela's Delfim Brás got a free kick in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertino Aguiar got free with João Viana in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Albertino Aguiar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Viana. The goal made the score 1-0. Albertino Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but João Viana made a huge save. Augusto Queirós lost his temper 56 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Carvela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chibata:s goal. The referee gave Chibata a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Manuel Cunha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carvela's João Viana. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Albertino Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chibata's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delfim Brás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Tomás Guerreiro made a huge save. Delfim Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Tomás Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diogo Guerreiro struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tomás Guerreiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carvela.
