Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfredo Gaspar made the kick off which started today's match. Joaquim Veiga came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Lufrei's Alfredo Gaspar. But to his dismay, Alfredo Gaspar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Gandara's goalkeeper Joaquim Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Oliveira. Amílcar Resende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Álvaro Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Gaspar in the 23rd minute of play. Óscar Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Xavier Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lufrei's zone, Catarino Resende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Soares came out of the goal and Catarino Resende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Gandara booed when SC Lufrei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, SC Lufrei's goal looked a bit too open when Óscar Esteves came free, but Xavier Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gandara's zone, Alfredo Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Veiga came out of the goal and Alfredo Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Gandara's Joaquim Veiga got control of the ball when Amílcar Resende tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Catarino Resende made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Alfredo Gaspar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Veiga. Gandara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Gaspar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óscar Esteves got free with Xavier Soares in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfredo Gaspar might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Amílcar Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lufrei's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílcar Resende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xavier Soares was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Bruno Paredes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Paredes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 76 minutes into the match, SC Lufrei's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Paredes came free, but Xavier Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amílcar Resende in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquim Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Resende in the 82nd minute of play. When SC Lufrei's Amílcar Resende in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gandara's goalie prevented a goal. Óscar Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Xavier Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Lufrei's Xavier Soares got control of the ball when Óscar Esteves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xavier Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Gandara's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
