Miguel Vale lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Barrosa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Manhouce:s goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Ramos in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabriel Coimbra struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Paulo Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manhouce. If Rodrigo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Barrosa's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Coimbra came free, but Paulo Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Hélder Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barrosa! In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrosa's goalkeeper Paulo Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute Rodrigo Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Moutinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Queirós in the 39th minute. Gabriel Coimbra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Barrosa's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Ramos came free, but Paulo Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Paulo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Ramos to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Barrosa got a freekick which was hit by Rui Borba. If Rodrigo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Moutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Queirós in the 58th minute of the match. Gabriel Coimbra in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo Paiva, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rodrigo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Paulo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Coimbra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Rodrigo Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Paulo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Paulo Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manhouce. Barrosa's Rui Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 94 minutes, Rodrigo Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manhouce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gabriel Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Manhouce eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
