An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Cruz in the 5th minute of play forced Rumeleira FC's goalkeeper Armando Trindade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rumeleira FC's Vicente Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vicente Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Augusto Amaral made a huge save. A collision led to Chamoim getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Amílcar Borba hit a great ball. Vicente Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22ndth minute of the game João Henriques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chamoim's Augusto Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute of the match Augusto Costa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. João Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, João Henriques recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Augusto Amaral. João Henriques showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Filipe Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Armando Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Miguel Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chamoim's goalkeeper Augusto Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Filipe Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
