Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulo Nunes got the match started through his kick off. Emílio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Miranda having to interfere. Alfredo Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When Gustavo Assunção fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Alcareia's protests and gave Gustavo Assunção a yellow card for diving instead. Gustavo Assunção hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Penoucos's Gonçalo Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Matias in the 21st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Paulo Nunes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alfredo Macedo to make any attempt to save it. After 27 played minutes Penoucos got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Machado. After a rather tough play, Penoucos's Joaquim Delgado got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st match minute, Penoucos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Delgado to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Emílio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Costa in the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Alcareia's zone, Afonso Faro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Macedo came out of the goal and Afonso Faro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulo Nunes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfredo Macedo. That made the score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. Gonçalo Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Emílio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Miranda having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emílio Costa to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Penoucos defense, Mário Matias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonçalo Miranda. The Penoucos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonçalo Miranda should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Paulo Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penoucos's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Afonso Faro sped through SC Alcareia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Macedo. Joel Faria hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Mário Matias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Gonçalo Miranda made a huge save. 79 minutes into the game, Penoucos's Paulo Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 82nd match minute, SC Alcareia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Coelho to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute of the match Joel Faria shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Macedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adolfo Lopes's late challenge caught a SC Alcareia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Alcareia booed when Penoucos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Lopes was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 95 played minutes Penoucos got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Lopes.
