Paulo Porto struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Gaspar Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Rumeleira. Adolfo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Mendes having to interfere. If Adolfo Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raul Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Mendes having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Porto during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nuno Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nuno Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Neto during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Afonso Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, SC Cevadais's Francisco Veiga tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 46 minutes in the game, Alfredo Alves fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gaspar Faria having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Alfredo Alves made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, SC Cevadais's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Alves came free, but Gaspar Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nuno Mendes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Paulo Porto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, SC Rumeleira's Paulo Porto got a free kick in the 74th minute. Nuno Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Ferreira in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, SC Rumeleira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Alves to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Sá during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Cevadais booed when SC Rumeleira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball.
