The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrique Coimbra during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute of the match Lourenço Barros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Pinto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 6th minute, Mário Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the game, Paulo Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Meijoadela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Abitureira the free kick. In the 8th match minute, SC Meijoadela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Brito to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, SC Abitureira's Luís Branco tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Paulo Brito was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 11 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, SC Meijoadela's Paulo Brito got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bruno Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mário Tavares in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Meijoadela's Daniel Gueifão got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, one of SC Meijoadela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. SC Abitureira's Mário Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Meijoadela's Bruno Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Castro in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Luís Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Abitureira's Mário Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Gabriel Castro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bruno Pinto, passed just outside the right post. 37 minutes into the match, SC Meijoadela's goalkeeper Bruno Pinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mário Tavares. In the 39th minute, Eusébio Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Eusébio Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the SC Meijoadela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Paiva couldn't finish the play. Eusébio Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Gabriel Castro made the kick off in the second half. SC Abitureira's Mário Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Abitureira's André Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save SC Abitureira from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute, Eusébio Paiva made a precise shot to the right of André Costa. SC Abitureira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 75th match minute, SC Abitureira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Branco to maneuver through the defense. With his leg André Costa managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when SC Meijoadela's Eusébio Paiva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. SC Abitureira's Mário Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Castro in the 84th minute of play. Eusébio Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but André Costa made a huge save. There was no doubt that SC Abitureira were the better team. SC Abitureira's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
