Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nuno Brito took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Nuno Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Quartos's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Nuno Brito reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Santos. The goal made the score 1-0. If Jorge Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 19 played minutes SC Quartos got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Morais. When Mário Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Marvao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. SC Quartos's Nuno Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mário Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Quartos's zone, Jorge Moniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Bessa came out of the goal and Jorge Moniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 minutes, Sérgio Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marvao and the SC Quartos players grew even worse after the yellow card. 45 minutes in the game Fernando Luz after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Ricardo Santos. A very good opportunity. In the 47th minute, Fernando Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Pinheiro was the one to do the kick off. SC Quartos's Jorge Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Pinheiro in the 53rd minute of play. Tomás Aguiar hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. With a little luck, SC Quartos's Jorge Bessa got control of the ball when Jorge Moniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernando Luz got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to SC Quartos getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fernando Luz hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Mário Pinheiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jorge Bessa, 1-1. Ricardo Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Coelho in the 64th minute of the match. Jorge Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ricardo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Jorge Coelho made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Santos. Marvao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jorge Bessa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Coimbra in the 76th minute. Jorge Bessa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Moniz in the 77th minute. Tomás Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomás Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes SC Quartos got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Brito. Jorge Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Pinheiro in the 92nd minute of play. Jorge Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. SC Quartos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
