In the 4th match minute, Chaviaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Amaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Cadavao FC defense, Vítor Mota kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mário Leal. The Cadavao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mário Leal should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Cadavao FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Nuno Azevedo hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Chaviaes's Lúcio Costa tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nuno Azevedo scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inácio Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Inácio Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Cadavao FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Fernandes came free, but Mário Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Vítor Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Chaviaes's José Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mário Leal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mário Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Mota in the 33rd minute of the match. Daniel Sousa hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Manuel Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Inácio Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cândido Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cadavao FC's Nuno Azevedo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Cândido Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Garcia having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Chaviaes's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Soares came free, but Inácio Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chaviaes's Daniel Amaral got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Cândido Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Leal having to interfere. Cândido Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute, Daniel Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Chaviaes getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lúcio Costa hit a great ball. Inácio Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inácio Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the game, José Fernandes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mário Leal. José Fernandes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2.
