Edroso's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Humberto Ferro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gonçalo Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Telhal's Gonçalo Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Ferro in the 42nd minute of play. Alberto Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humberto Ferro to make the kick off. Alberto Moniz scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Humberto Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, António Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Telhal's supporters rose to their feet, but António Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. António Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Humberto Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Moniz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Catarino Aguiar hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Edroso's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because SC Telhal had won, even though Edroso had held more of the ball.
