The audience was convinced that Lúcio Viana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Correia was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. If Nuno Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catarino Aguiar hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Lúcio Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Correia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Veiga in the 17th minute of play forced Edroso's goalkeeper Rui Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rui Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Edroso booed when Rebelhos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Correia came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Rebelhos FC's Hélder Garcia. But to his dismay, Hélder Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Humberto Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Freitas having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Ferro in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Freitas saved Rebelhos FC from getting behind. In the 36th minute Lúcio Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Catarino Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Lúcio Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 46 minutes of play, Rebelhos FC's Lúcio Viana made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Ferro to strike the kick off in the second half. Edroso's Rui Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Viana in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Nuno Veiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rebelhos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Nuno Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Correia having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Lúcio Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Barros hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Edroso's Catarino Aguiar got a free kick in the 87th minute. Edroso's Rui Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Viana in the 91st minute of play. Lúcio Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rebelhos FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
