Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Penaceira's Armando Guarda started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Penaceira's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Valentim Graça scored to the left of an out of position Hugo Cruz, making the score, 1-0. Hugo Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Guerra in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Delfim Dantas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SC Penaceira's Hugo Cruz. Hugo Cruz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Valentim Graça came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ventelharia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentim Graça couldn't finish the play. Ventelharia's Nivaldo Rego got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Fernandes hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, SC Penaceira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Delfim Dantas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Valentim Graça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ventelharia's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentim Graça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Hugo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nivaldo Rego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hugo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ventelharia's Valentim Graça got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bento Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Cruz having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, SC Penaceira's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Guerra came free, but Hugo Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Bento Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nivaldo Rego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hugo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nivaldo Rego stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Nivaldo Rego managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ventelharia's supporters rose to their feet, but Nivaldo Rego was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Penaceira's Hugo Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Dantas in the 53rd minute of play. Nivaldo Rego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Cruz came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Ventelharia's Delfim Dantas. But to his dismay, Delfim Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Delfim Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ventelharia's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bento Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nivaldo Rego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ventelharia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nivaldo Rego in the 68th minute. Hugo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Dantas in the 71st minute of the match. Hugo Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nivaldo Rego's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Delfim Dantas made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Cruz. SC Penaceira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC Penaceira's zone, Nivaldo Rego stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Cruz came out of the goal and Nivaldo Rego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alcino Regueira fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ventelharia's protests and gave Alcino Regueira a yellow card for diving instead. Alcino Regueira hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Hugo Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Guerra in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Ventelharia were the better team. Ventelharia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
