After 3 played minutes SC Sangalhos got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Sousa. When João Velasques came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Solar dos Leões fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Velasques couldn't finish the play. Manuel Branco hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, SC Sangalhos's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Valverde came free, but André Morais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Sousa got his second yellow card in the match during the 14th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Miguel Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Emílio Valverde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Solar dos Leões's João Velasques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Morais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 26th minute, Emílio Valverde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Sangalhos's André Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Valverde in the 30th minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Emílio Valverde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Sangalhos's André Morais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. António Moutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Lázaro Vigário made a huge save. Lázaro Vigário made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Branco in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Emílio Valverde's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Morais was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. The Solar dos Leões fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Solar dos Leões's Emílio Valverde looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After the first half Solar dos Leões were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emílio Valverde to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emílio Valverde got free with André Morais in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the match, SC Sangalhos's goalkeeper André Morais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Albuquerque. In the 80th minute, SC Sangalhos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Emílio Valverde fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, SC Sangalhos's goal looked a bit too open when João Velasques came free, but André Morais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The SC Sangalhos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Solar dos Leões were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
