If Silvério Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of ۩۩ ČĦΔŦËĿΔŘΔβË ۩۩ˇˇˇ booed when Murtinheira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, ۩۩ ČĦΔŦËĿΔŘΔβË ۩۩ˇˇˇ's Silvério Valente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Óscar Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elias Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The ۩۩ ČĦΔŦËĿΔŘΔβË ۩۩ˇˇˇ fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when ۩۩ ČĦΔŦËĿΔŘΔβË ۩۩ˇˇˇ's Silvério Valente looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Manuel Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hermano Pegado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Abel Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Óscar Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Nóbrega in the 27th minute of play. Óscar Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermano Pegado having to interfere. If Silvério Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abel Veiga struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hermano Pegado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murtinheira. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 44th minute, but Hermano Pegado got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving ۩۩ ČĦΔŦËĿΔŘΔβË ۩۩ˇˇˇ hanging dry this time. In the 48th minute Silvério Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvério Valente was the one to do the kick off. Óscar Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Nóbrega in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Silvério Valente fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Óscar Lima, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Murtinheira's zone, Elias Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Lima came out of the goal and Elias Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvério Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Elias Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. ۩۩ ČĦΔŦËĿΔŘΔβË ۩۩ˇˇˇ's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geraldo Durães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Lima having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Manuel Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ۩۩ ČĦΔŦËĿΔŘΔβË ۩۩ˇˇˇ's Hermano Pegado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Veiga in the 80th minute of play. After 84 minutes, Elias Nóbrega made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Murtinheira's Óscar Lima tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Murtinheira's zone, Daniel Sardinha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Lima came out of the goal and Daniel Sardinha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Nóbrega got free with Óscar Lima in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ۩۩ ČĦΔŦËĿΔŘΔβË ۩۩ˇˇˇ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
