Filipe Neves started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Murtinheira booed when Carregueiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gil Lima fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murtinheira's protests and gave Gil Lima a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Murtinheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Lima to maneuver through the defense. Bento Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Manuel Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Bessa having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Sérgio Pedroso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murtinheira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carregueiro FC the free kick. Sérgio Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Lucas Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carregueiro FC's Filipe Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Lucas Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carregueiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes in the game, Filipe Neves fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Óscar Lima having to interfere. Manuel Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Manuel Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bento Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, André Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Andrade in the 52nd minute of play forced Murtinheira's goalkeeper Óscar Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Óscar Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
