Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Bento Delgado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Gaviaosinho's Mariano Aleixo got a free kick in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Gaviaosinho's Bento Delgado got control of the ball when António Leal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gabriel Resende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bento Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Moniz in the 17th minute of play forced Seixal's goalkeeper Vítor Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Moniz's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Domingues during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Augusto Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Moniz in the 24th minute of play forced Seixal's goalkeeper Vítor Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Delgado having to interfere. Gabriel Resende had several of the Gaviaosinho's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Bento Delgado as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 34th minute, Óscar Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Santos. Seixal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Seixal were furious when Alberto Brito was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Seixal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! Heitor Anjos did an outstanding performance 44 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Vítor Santos in the goal. Óscar Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell António Leal to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Rogério Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaviaosinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Jesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Moniz struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Vítor Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaviaosinho. Pedro Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Vítor Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If António Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Seixal's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Moniz came free, but Vítor Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rogério Jesus fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaviaosinho's protests and gave Rogério Jesus a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Gaviaosinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Jesus to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Nuno Monteiro made a precise shot to the right of Bento Delgado. Gaviaosinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. If Óscar Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bento Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Seixal's António Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Pedro Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaviaosinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Moniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Santos made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Óscar Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute.
