Jacob Calado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óscar Ribeiro in the 10th minute of play. Bento Delgado had great luck who in the 13thth minute grab hold of the ball when Paulo Caldeira from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Gaviaosinho booed when Amantes Latinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginaldo Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Bento Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amantes Latinos. In the 31stth minute of the game Paulo Caldeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaviaosinho's Bento Delgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Reginaldo Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Pedro Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Calado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Dantas during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Moniz made a kick off. After 59 minutes, Paulo Caldeira made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gaviaosinho's Bento Delgado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the match, Amantes Latinos's Paulo Caldeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bento Delgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Jordão Calçada fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amantes Latinos's protests and gave Jordão Calçada a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Amantes Latinos getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. After 82 played minutes, Amantes Latinos's Aquilino Ávila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bento Delgado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amantes Latinos reached it. Óscar Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Paulo Caldeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bento Delgado was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
